Alloa Community Enterprises aims to help reduce the amount of large items of furniture that end up in landfill when they could have a new life in another home. This is called the ‘circular economy’ and it aims to keep products, components and materials in circulation and promote a culture where we ‘make things last’!

This is fundamental to tackling emissions arising from the consumption of goods and will improve the effects of climate change. By diverting resources from landfill and encouraging recycling, repair and re-use everyone is playing a part in helping protect Clackmannanshire for future generations.

Alloa Community Enterprises is a member of CRNS (Community Resources, Network for Scotland) which believes that communities, and social enterprises in particular, play an important role in alleviating poverty, tackling discrimination and disadvantage, environmental management, area regeneration and community economic development.
